WAN IP address changed by ISP
After a 10 hour outage by my ISP (Spectrum), my modem (ARRIS SURFboard SB8200) was assigned a new IP address when it went back online as service was restored. As a result, I am not able to connect to my router remotely.
I am on vacation and need access to some devices connected to my home network. I am not home to restart it. I hope to not have to signup for a business account just to get a static IP address. Is there an option for my router to restart itself when a new WAN address is detected on my modem.
Or perhaps there may be a different solution?
thank you

- microchip8MasterThere is no such option. And you don't have control over which IP your ISP will assign to your router.
Best you can do is to use a hostname and update the IP addressDoes Anywhere Access fall over when the ISP changes the WAN IP address? Seems unlikely as this is always going to happen.
In that case MyNetgear does the connecting. It should work on the RAX50.
Then there is Netgear DDNS.
