WHY is There Not a 160MHz option for 5GHz? (RAXE500)

Considering it’s their premium/flagship router retailing at $600 - how come 160MHz channel bandwidth is not available for 5GHz Wi-Fi (unlike other routers from other brands)???

Is this something that can be added in via a firmware update?

  • what region are you in?

what makes you think it doesn't support 160hz? (mine raxe500 does)

  • Some newer routers, especially the high-end Wi-Fi 6 routers, are using 160MHz channels at 5GHz to achieve really impressive speeds. However, for many people and their wireless devices, this speed is not accessible.

Hi. I’m in the US. In the web gui (advanced settings) under Wireless > 5GHz, it only shows 80 MHz wide from the selection. Don’t see 160MHz.

I have the latest firmware from a few days ago and have already performed a factory reset FWIW. Thanks

Not sure where your seeing that. (screensnip or shot might help)

The section where you select speeds "up to ****" is what sets the channel width.

When its set at "up to 4800mbps" thats the 160hz wide channels.
