Why my RAX35 offline from internet everyday

Hello all. I have a Netgear router RAX35 and it always offline from internet every day. I have to reboot the router and reset internet. The hardware version is RAX35v2 and firmware version is V1.0.2.82_2.0.50. Recently, I wanted to upgrade the firmware and downloaded the firmware from Netgear.com. When I upgraded the router with firmware with .img file, it told me only .chk file can be used to upgrade. What can I do now? It goes offline every day and drives me crazy. It will be appreciated for any help.

What, exactly, did you download "from Netgear.com"?

       _Which_ ".img file"?

The latest version I see is "V1.0.2.82_2.0.50", and that kit contains
    a ".chk" file.
