Parental Control has completely disabled my router
I have had my Netgear RAXE500 for over 2 years. Somehow in the last few days the free trial of Parental Control got activate in the Nighthawk App. Now have no or intermittent internet access. I tried completing the setup then disabling the Parental Control feature but that made things worse. I tried a factory reset at first using the NightHawk app for iOS and also a factory reset using my web browser to set up the router. Nothing works. I have to plug and unplug my router several times an hour to get internet only to have it fail soon after. I have now switched to my old ASUS router and my internet works fine although the newer Netgear router did seem somewhat faster. The free trial of parental control expires in mid September. Do you think I will be able to use my RAXE500 after that or should I just trash the Netgear router? Any help would be appreciated.
Try disable SPC from the NH app.
If you factory reset the router and setup from scratch using a wired PC and web browser while the router is not connected to the ISP modem, should be able to setup the router manually and the router will work after it's setup.

Or use the ERASE button on the routers web page to factory reset the router:

Avoid connecting the NH app to the router.
