Hello! Query on how to connect my netgear

Hello! Sorry my english I use translator since I only speak Spanish and my English is basic.

I have several queries!

I can connect my neteagear r7000 directamnete to the cable of phone, bone to the cable dsl that provides internet or if I have to connect it to the modem of arnet (my internet provider) and from there to take a network cable to my net gear, my question?

On the other hand, agluna recomenacion so that this optimized to play with my ps4 online? Use with network cable but there is not much more to do
