RAX120 derrière un firewall - quels sont les routes à mettre en place

Bonjour, 

 

Je viens de brancher et de configurer le routeur wifi RAX120

Dans un premier temps en le branchant directement à Internet sur la box,

Dans un second temps derrière un FireWall (PfSense)

Le routeur me dit qu'il n'est pas connecté à Internet dans l'interface d'administration alors que tout fonctionne. 

Quelles sont les règles sur le FW dont le routeur a besoin pour fonctionner ?

    If pfsense is managing your dhcp, try setting the RAX120 up in access point mode. It prevents a double nat.

      Hello 

       

      Currently I am using both

      - PFSENSE with DHCP Service and then allowing only one dedicated IP Address to the Netgear router.

      - The routeur is plugged directly on the Firewall on the ethernet port.

       

      When, the wifi netgear router is plugged directly on the box (fibre modem) then no problem for routeur, the interface status is showing connected to internet and also the traffic is working. 

      But, when behind the firewall pfsense, then the router interface status is showing not connected to internet.

      Nevertheless, devices connected in Wifi can access to internet. 

      When I look on logs firewall, I saw that the router try to contact public ip address with ICMP protocol.

      Maybe to get the status of the Internet connection. 

      Then my question, does the router need specific rules to communicate with Internet ?

      PS : currently the router is configured as router, not in access point mode. 

      I will try, but not sure it will solved.

    Dans un premier temps, quel est votre FAI et quel type de box possédez-vous?

    Votre box est-elle en mode routeur ou en mode bridge?

    Désirez-vous utiliser le RAX120 en mode routeur ou en mode point d'accès?

      Bonjour, 

       

      Le router est derrière un Firewall avec PfSense.

      3 Ports 

      -- 1 Connecté au modem fibre ADSL

      -- 2 Connecté au Routeur Wifi pour partager la connection WIFI

      -- 3 Connecté à un switch netgear ... pour le LAN

       

      Le statut du routeur est : non conecté à internet, mais les périphériques connectés en wifi accèdent bien à Internet.

      Le statut du routeur branché direct sur le modem , le statut est connecté.

       

      De ce fait, le programme du routeur essai d'établir une connection pour affiché le statut connecté ?
