192.168.100.10?
I noticed by looking at modem logs, that it appears my cable modem, which has an IP address of 192.168.100.1 when it is power cycled, may have a temporary IP address of 192.168.100.10 when it boots u...
OK - to restate the question -
192.168.100.1 WORKS - I get the modem admin page., All is good. No issues, used it for years on multiple modems.
Today I noticed 192.168.100.10 shows up on a boot up - it's in the modem log. I am trying to find out what that is. Thanks!
Could be a possible temporariy IP address thats is setup for the connecting device. Then as the modem gets going, then changes to the full WAN public IP address that gets passed to the connecting device, i.e. router.
I would not be too concerned about it. I'll see if maybe NG knows something about this.
