2.4GHz and 5GHz dropped randomly.
After talking with xfinity, it seems to be a netgear issue. Is there a reason why my box would drop out like that? My box is a little over a year old so it’s I don’t think that is the issue.

You'll have to say a bit more before anyone can begin to diagnose what is going on at your end.
For example, what tells you that the wifi drops? Do the LEDs on the thing go off. What have you done to confirm that the modem/router is the problem rather than your wifi clients?
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
Check the section in the manual Troubleshoot With the LEDs.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message. You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to Nighthawk WiFi Routers. (This is easily done, given Netgear's impenetrable community structure.)
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers about your hardware, in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:
Cable Modems & Routers
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
