As for the power cycling; I forgot to mention this, but I tried it a few times before posting, but nothing changed.

My suggestion was to reboot the whole network. Not just the router.

Only thing that seems off is that according to the interface, my router can't get an IP address.

That is why I asked about the modem. These are often also routers. A modem/router in front of a router can cause problems, including those you describe.

Have you tried plugging a PC into whatever delivers you the Internet? Leave out the router. If you can get in line, then your Internet probably comes from a router of some sort.

If that is the case, then you could see if your WNR2000v5 will work in access point mode.

Maybe that is how it was set up before you reset the router. That would have put it back into router mode.

For further troubleshooting we really need to know where the Internet comes from.
