AC1750 Model C6300 WiFi connection

I have a very recent purchase/installation of this product - I have two questiona: 1) I was losing my MiFi connection only, when I was looking for a network (on my I-Phone) I noticed that I have 2 to networks to choose from: NEATGEAR52 and NETGEAR52-5G....when I choose the NEATGEAR52-5G the problem seemed to go away, at least for a couple days or so. Does it matter which I choose as my network? I did now notice that my phone "switched" back to the first network and I still have had no problems.

2) I changed to Cox Communications and purchased the high speed internet of 50mbps, my download speed varies greatly though from @17 - 49mbps...is that something that Cox needs to know or is it the router/modem?

Thanks for any help

    Hello Johnbloom54

If you can connect to the 5g network thats the one you want to use because it is a faster network but on the other one you may need to switch the wirless channel in the modem settings which you can get to by going to 192.168.0.1 in your web browser then use admin/password to login then you will want to get to the wireless settings and should be a option for channel change that to another number then test the network again and see if the connection improved.
