I am trying to understand why my channels keep changing or are dropped periodically. I am using a Mac on channel 5 but it changes automatically to 2.4 or disconnects. I have checked the setting within the mac OS but that all seems to be set up as it should. I have checked with comcast - no help other than to ping my router. Any ideas are appreciated

Do you have the wireless channel set to a specific channel on the 5 ghz network or is it set to auto?
