AC1900 cable modem router no internet

So in my roommates fit of rage, he managed to pull the coax cable out of the wall. The wire came out but the part that connects the wire to the wall stayed there. So I figured the cable was broken. I bought a new cable and now whenever I connect to it, it says I'm connected without wifi. I had this problem last year whenever I first got it so I'm hoping that you guys can work your magic again lol. I have already reset the router and unplugged it. And I've tried a different room to see if the socket on the wall was broken but still didn't work.
