Amazon Echo and Netgear C6300

Hi All,
Thank you for your responses. Always nice when users help each other. I did finally get my Echo working, including timers and alarms, on my Netgear C6300, albeit painfully. Below are the steps I had to take, but know I did these once with no success then decided to do a full factory reset and try again. Everything below worked after a factory reset. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I'v had to perform a factory reset to make my new technology work with this router. Anyway, here is what worked for me:
1- Disable port scan and DoS protection (WAN setup)
2- Enable Repond to ping on Internet port (WAN setup)
3- Select port forwarding to always (port forwarding/port triggering)
4- Create the below six custom services (port forwarding/port triggering) <-- I got this list of ports from Amazon
a. 123 (TCP/UDP)
b. 40317 (TCP/UDP)
c. 49317 (TCP/UDP)
d. 33434 (TCP/UDP)
e. 4070 (TCP)
f. 5353 (UDP)
Everything has been stable for a couple of days, but still holding my breath a bit. Good luck to anyone else!

Hi I'm currently trying to change my ports and everything. This is my second amazon echo and the first one was sent back because they thought it was faulty and after an hour on the phone with Amazon on this second one they told me I need to open up ports. They gave me a list of ports excatly like yours but plus one. How did you set up the ports? What did you use for the IP address? I just want to make sure I'm doing it right because I tried opening the ports but it still is't working. Thank you.

Hello Johnwloneill
You use the IP address of the Echo itself you will need to go to the attached devices tab in the settings of the router and it should show the Ip. Then you open the ports for it.
