Amber Upstream light - internet connection issues
Just yesterday my router (hardware version C7000v2) started having connection issues. The internet works for 10-15 minutes and then shuts off for 10-15 minutes, and constantly repeats this process. Looking at the router lights, I see the upstream light is the amber color. I don't know what this stuff means but I see others posting for this issue.
1) How do I go about fixing this and what could have caused this to spontaneously start happening?
2) What are correctables and uncorrectables? Do I need to be worried about these?
3) If I have an ISP check my connections, do they need to come out, or can they do that remote?
Yes, Correctables and uncorrectables should be mostly zeros.
Please post a copy and paste of the modems event log page.
https://kb.netgear.com/30008/How-do-I-view-or-clear-the-event-logs-on-my-NETGEAR-cable-modem-or-modem-routerHave the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
From there check the line for kinks, damage, moisture in the line.
Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, loose connections, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.

Your upstream power levels is super high. Usually if the downstream is high, the upstream will be low. It tends to indicated you're close to a hub (if the downstream is higher) so it doesn't take as much power and the upstream will be on the lower end. With where your upstream is, I'd expect your downstream to be pretty low. But its not. Its at the higher end too. So its either indicating you're using an amplifier (get rid of it) or something else is impeding the signal.
so check your line, remove any amplifiers.

It turns out there was an issue with the whole neighborhood, not just me. The issue was resolved late last night by our ISP. Thanks for all the info tho this was helpful.

Glad they got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
