Hi everyone,
I have spent hours upon hours, and I have come to a possible solution/s for our problems.
As mentioned, I had the same issue. Whenever I used the 5.0 GHz frequency, I could not upload photos to websites and could not send photos in email attachments.
I had an Amazon Fire Cube located very closely to the router and after I had moved it further away my Upload and Download stream indicator light went to a solid white light. The Upstream indicator prior was always blinking.
I cannot %100 percent vouch for this fix; it did work for me after about three months of playing around with every setting within the router of the CAX80 and changing the firmware several times.
The solid white indicator lights come on when at least 2/two streams are locked in. In my router settings it always indicated that at least 2/two upstream and downstream channels were locked, however, to the best of my recollection I always had a blinking white indicator for the upstream channel (meaning only 1 channel locked).
The second thing I changed was to use WPA3-Personal for my security settings with my Windows 11 Pro (23H2). Specifically, at one point I did a Network Reset in Windows. Then, for whatever reason my laptop WIFI would only work with WPA3-Personal and I got kicked out about every 10 minutes from my WIFI if I used WPA2-PSK (AES). I had to log back in about every 10 minutes; what a pain! Therefore, I changed my Router's WIFI security to "WPA2-PSK[AES] + WPA3-Personal".
I have tested my uploads on two websites and now it works using the 5.0 GHz band. Also, I can now attach larger photo files to my email program and successfully send them off, which I was not able to do prior to these changes.
So, in summary ensure no electronics, speakers, amplifiers and such are nearby the router where the signals could possibly interfere with each other, or, where interference from such electronics could cause issues.
Then, try to use WPA3-Personal and WPA2-PSK (AES) together in your router's settings. By the way, changing channels and such didn't do a thing for me.
Lastly, reboot your router until the downstream and upstream indicator lights are both solid!
Good luck everyone!
