Any update on 5Ghz Upload issue?
Hi everyone,
Yes, as of this evening 1/15/24 this issue is still present. I have the same exact problem. I have reinstalled the OS and I have performed a rollback. I have performed numerous ...

My apologies. This was not a solution.
I had a power outage and things went back the old way; meaning the 5.0 GHz doesn't upload any longer.
My Amazon Fire cube is still placed further away and also noticed upstream and downstream indicator will sometimes be blinking and sometimes steady. I am at a loss. It worked for about 2-3 days.

The latest:
I bought a second CAX80 from Walmart. It has the same, exact, identical issue.
Few things:
1) I also have Comcast; this is a common factor for all users, as I went through all the threads.
2) The 5.0 upload relates mostly to browsers; not being able to upload pictures and such; I do too.
3) Seems many users have issues on the 5.0 when they attempt to upload large files; I do too.
One user mentioned that the MAC Random Hardware Address could be the culprit; I tested it. No difference for me whether it is enabled or disabled.
One user mentioned that Netgear Armor was still active and that the 5.0 upload was working. Yes, I did have my 5.0 WIFI working for about 2-3 days until a power outage. During that time the Netgear Armor was active as trial!
Last night I factory reset the router. Then, I set it up using the Android App Nighthawk through my mobile data plan. Later today I tested my router. All of a sudden, I could upload photos to Craigslist again using the 5.0 GHz signal (couple users talked about this site). Also, now I can upload again to the Next-door Neighbor site (this site was mentioned also in a previous discussion).
I tested my uploads to these two site 5-6 times, and they still work after having set up the router through the Netgear Nighthawk App with Armor still active for 16 more days.
Netgear support is terrible. I told them enough with changing settings, etc. I could do uploads through my neighbor's router on the 5.0 frequency without any problems. This also rules out any issues with my laptop that I'm using. Right now 5.0 GHz uploads are working, however, large file transfers/uploads fail through AnyViewer, whereas small files upload just fine. Netgear is supposed to send me a firmware update as I mention CASE #47070779.
This is definitely a NETGEAR CAX80 5.0 GHz WIFI issue!

There is a beta that other users told of that resolved the 5ghz upload issue. Please ask NG support about this.

Yes, supposedly there is some type of firmware out there.
Netgear was supposed to contact me today and send me a link, no cigar!
Meanwhile, I started a new thread "Upload issue not solved".
I may have narrowed it down.......awaiting some responses please.

It looks like my posts are gone; removed. Hmm
I got this thing narrowed down; I believe
As explained previously; like many of you I have tried everything. Changing channels, changing settings, rolling back the firmware, resetting the router, factory reset, changing the network settings, etc.
On one occasion I got things working; meaning that I could upload utilizing the 5.0 frequency. I uploaded photos to Craigslist, Next-door Neighbor and a few other sites. After a power failure, things went back to broke. I realized that the one time the upload issue worked was when I used the Netgear Nighthawk App and Netgear Armor was enabled as trial.
Latest results. I factory reset the CAX 80 without the Nighthawk Application (No Armor trial); couldn't upload. Then I did another factory reset and used the Netgear Nighthawk App (Armor trial 15 days left); the 5.0 upload worked again.
Then, I disabled the Armor trail in the security settings and sure enough the 5.0 upload did not work. I re-enabled the Armor Trial and instantly I could upload to Craigslist, Next-door Neighbor again.
Seems there is something going on with this trail software and the router. One reason why users that have had the router for longer than the trial period cannot do anything to get the 5.0 GHz upload to work at all. Please respond. Factory reset your modem with the Nighthawk app and enable Armor if you still can.
Meanwhile, Netgear support was supposed to contact me and send me a link for a BETA firmware upgrade. It's been 24 hours and they haven't contacted me at all. I want my money back or fix this!
