Are the Orbi Mesh compatible with cable Modem C71000V

Need to set up a wifi system within the house (3600 sf) with two story structure. Was looking at the orbi mesh system for full coverage, but a friend said make sure the router I have is compatible. I can't find anything that can confirm one way or the other. Any help on the subject?

The c7100v could be put in modem only mode.
Or even left in router mode and the orbi in access point mode.

It won't fully integrate but can be used in conjunction with the orbi setup.

Thanks for the prompt response. Since I'm a bit tech challenged, can you clarify "won't fully integrate." What will I be missing? Any recommendations to fix this?  The cable/modem itself seems to work, but I'd prefer having a unified system with minimal workarounds involved. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

      Thanks again for your help.

        The C7100V isn't a mesh router/device.

And its a modem/router combo device.

So you can disable its router function if you'd like and just use it as a modem.

You could also leave the c7100v in router mode and put the orbi in access point mode. You could set the wifi with a different ssid (and different wifi channels) to prevent interference. That'd let you still use it as a router and either offload some of the load from the orbi or just use its wifi as a backup.
