Bad Down speeds and ping on CM400
Hey, First post here. I recently made the leap from centrylink to Cox, which is far superior in my area supposedly, and I got a new Netgear CM400 and Asus RT-AC1200. I activated my modem and the guys at cox scred up my MAC address twice before getting it right. Now, we got it online but my ethernet link light is falshing amber, meaning a 10/100 connection, while green is a 1000. I was on the phone with cox tech support for an hour (and keep in mind I work in tech support as well) and he stated that he isn't seeing anything wrong on his end, and in my area, I should have been getting a 20 or less ping (he got 18 pinging my modem to them), but hardwired either directly into the modem or through a router, I was getting numbers from 70 to 150 (extremely inconsistant). I am also paying for 100 MBPS, but only getting around 50-70 (again, inconsistent) and the tech stated that in my area i should be getting more like 120, becasue there is no congestion here. We are getting similar results wired through the router hardwired to the PC, or directly modem to PC. We tried multiple computers, brand new ethernet cables and coax cable, and a different Cable outlet. Now, Here's the funny part, whem I am connected to the 5G network with the wireless card on my laptop, about an inch away from one of the antennas on the router, I am consistantly getting about 20 ping and 66ish Down speed. Here is the information from the netgear Genie:

- jessetempeAspirantSorry about that didn't notice. That's what's weird is that everything says I should be getting a good connection, but hardwired it's worse than wireless. I'll update with the full table when I get home.
