bought netgear c7000v2

I would like to use my older c6250 as a wifi extender access point from my cable modem connected 7000 can this be done how?

    If you set the C6250 for a IP address string as what's on the C7000, then disable the DHCP server on the C6250, then connect the C6250 to the C7000 using any LAN port in back with a ethernet cable, it should work as a wifi AP. You should be able to access the C6250 by using it IP address you set up on it. I would set the IP address to 192.168.1.62. I recommend setting the wifi settings to use a different SSID name and WiFi channels need to be far apart as well.
