Bridge Mode?
Does this modem come from the factory in Bridge mode? I'm having problums port forwarding. I have set up the netgear router (AC1200) with no luck on any ports. I did the activation thru Xfinity.

CM series model modem are only modems. So no bridge mode. No built in router like the C series modems.

So this modem can not be put in Bridge mode? Therefor I can never port forward? I know it is not a router but if the modem is
not in bridge mode my router will not port forward because the modem is blocking. Thanks for the reply.

No, it has no other mode. It's always only a modem.
A modem+router (like a model Cxxxx) typically has a "bridge"
(modem-only) mode, but a modem-only (model CMxxx) is only a modem. If
you want to call that a "bridge" mode, you can, but that's the only mode
it has. You don't need to _put_ it into that mode.

It would appear that the ‘PnP’ part of this only plays nice with NETGEAR routers.
It’s going back if I can’t get this resolved.

The CM does not have any router or NAT, so it doesn't need or support bridging. If you connect a wifi router, then you can do your port forwarding there. The modem isn't blocking any ports.
Bridge mode is only seen and used on modems with Built in router. The model you have doesn't have a router built in.
