Buy a cable modem router

Hi community people;
I have a cable/satellite box, and my TV is connected with a HDMI cable.
I would like to buy a cable modem router, model C 7800 Nighthawk. My question is, how to connect to the router: is Via HDMI or Coax cable
I will appreciate your answer Thank you!
  • C7800 or newer CAX80/30 gateways needs Cable service with ISPs such as Xfinity/Comcast, Cox, Spectrum, etc.

    It needs to be directly connect to ISP cable and will NOT work with Satellite providers such as Dish/DirecTV, etc

       Thanks for that detailed description.  Connected to what?

       Why?  Are you connected to a cable-TV ISP?

       It uses a coaxial cable from a cable-TV ISP.

       Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
    for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.

       "satellite" makes me think that you're looking in the wrong place.

      Thank you vkdelta for your post!
      I already bought a Netgear model C1900 cable modem router.
      I think this router works for me.
