C3000 and Dlink camera

Dlink customer support is advising me to create a static IP address for my Dlink camera that is using the Netgear modem/router.  Dlink is claiming I have to go through Comcast but Comcast is telling me I have to configure this on the Netgear router.  They claim that Dlink is assuming I am using a Comcast supplied modem.  Dlink is saying that the camera keeps dropping because the modem/router is changing the IP address.  Can someone please help me to get out of this finger pointing loop?  Thank you.

    Hello Lucyfromerie

This is a easy fix you will need to log into your router by going to 192.168.0.1 log in with admin/password then click Advanced-Setup-Lan setup then at the bottom you see address reservation you can click add then add the Ip of the camera.
