C3000 as base station
I have a new C3000-100NAS that doesn't quite have the range I want. Luckily, I have an old WNDR3300 and am trying to use this as a repeater. I've made sure these four things match on both device...

If you can run an Ethernet cable (or equivalent) between these two
devices, then configuring the WNDR3300 as a wireless access point
(rather than as a repeater) might make sense. (Probably better on a
different radio channel, however, in any case.)
"Or equivalent" would include a pair of Powerline gizmos.
