C3000 Can connect thru USB but not wireless

I can connect with my usb but not wireless, had a power outage and had to reset it to factory settings and entered a new password which is not being accepted on all my other devices and this laptop is connected thru usb and if I unplug it, it loses its connection

    After factory resetting the modem, can you LAN wire connect the PC to the back of the modem and log in at 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 with a web browser?
