C3700-100NAS wifi Modem Router - Problem connecting Seagate Central 3TB NAS Drive
Fellow Members,
I am using Netgear C3700-100NAS with TWC cable internet. I am trying to access Seagate Central 3TB NAS Drive attached onto its ethernet port. This drive network setting was configured to have a static IP as 192.168.1.24.
My modem/router has TCP/IP settings as :
IP Address: 192.168.0.1
IP Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
With these setting my drive does not even show up in network map of the modem/router and, obviously, not even on my laptop's Network folder.
If I change IP Subnet Mask to 255.255.0.0, then drive shows up in Network Map of the modem/router but still does not show up in laptop's Network folder.
Please note that I cannot change my drive's IP address as of now because I cannot access it at all.
Looking for your advice/suggestion on the same.
Thanks
Suansh
