C3700 drops internet connection
I have a C3700-100NAS that has worked good for about 8 months now, but lately it's been dropping the internet connection, almost on a daily basis and I have to reboot it. I just want to know if it's ...

I have the same issue for several weeks now with my C3000-100NAS at version V2.02.06, I only use WiFi so I don't know whether the connectivity is affecting cable-connected devices.

Hello orishu
If your internet is disconnecting alot check you cable cord and if it has a splitter removed it and go straight to the wall see if that improves the connection. Also using a a wifi connection you may need to change the wireless channel you could be having interference from other wifi networks or home appliances.

Thank DarrenM,
However:
If the problem is in the modem/wall connection, then it wouldn't explain why every time I reset the router the internet comes back without any issues.
For a while, I was suspecting it's a WiFi channel issue so I used the administration interface, checked which channels aren't used and picked an empty one. When the problem occurred again (and again...), I checked the channels again to verify that it wasn't due to some new interefering neighboring router. It wasn't.
All evidence point to a bug in the newly updated firmware V2.02.06, PLEASE get NetGear to take our complaints seriously. For those who experience these issues, if they don't get resolved, it's going to be the last time we buy a NetGear product.
Let me know if there's any diagnostics mode I can use to help with finding the firmware bug.
Thanks
Ori
