C3700 Qos

I purchased a C3700 modem/router. How do I set up QoS on it? According to the NetGear docs any device with the Genie interface should have a QoS option under Advanced > Setup. But I don't. My firmware version is V1.01.05, which I think is the latest because NG says there's no way to manually update it.

But I work from home and also use MagicJack for my phone. I want to prioritize my MJ device as sometimes phone calls are choppy while I'm on my VPN.

Thanks.

    Hello Ksean

I went and checked the specs of the c3700 and it does not have QOS at this time.

      What alternative options are available?

You may be able to google for some programs that can limit bandwidth to certain devices.

Hi, sorry about restarting this conversation...  I also have a need for QoS.  Can you confirm if the CM600 [1] will allow end-users to define custom QoS policies?  For example, I would like to create a policy that prioritizes the IP addresses (2) of my VoIP telephone and cellphone femtocell (Verizon device that requires an internet connection.)  I'm currently using a C3700, and have call issues (garbled, dropped calls, etc...) when my kids are watching Netflix.
