MY ROUTER/MODEM ALWAYS SEEM TO RUN VERY WARM TO THE TOUCH. I HAVE SEEN INTERMITTANT TIMES WHERE THE MODEM IS NOT CONNECTING AND BOOTS BACK UP AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME WHEN I HAVE SHUT IT DOWN AND COOLE...
Netgear is sending me a replacement as it is under warranty.
The C6230 isn't that high of a performing device to need a cooler. Is it nice to have to keep electronics going? Sure. heats the death of electronics. But if its needing a cooler for that base model of device, somethings wrong with it.
I'd be saving the $ for the next version of modem/router if you end up needing one.
