C6300 – AC1750 WiFi Cable Modem Router -- Recovery Questions
Hello Community,
The security questions for resetting the router password were not the ones I set up. I'm certain of this. Short of a factory reset, does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks.

Factory reset and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. Be sure to write down important information during this for safe keeping.
there used to be the option of not setting up the questions. On a device as old as the C6300, you might not have set them up. It'll still ask but there isn't a correct response. Probably quickest/easiest to just reset and reinstall.
