c6300 5GHZ Not Working, disappears (FIXED)
i have FIXED the problem with on my C6300 Netgear modem - 5GHZ not working, disappearing. You need to change the default setting to always use the 5ghz network.
This worked for my c6300. Not sure if this could work for other models.
1. log into Netgear Genie so you can get to the menu.
2. Click on WiFi Connection on left hand navigation side.
3. Click on Manage. you wll see the list of WiFi network available.
4. Click on your 5ghz WiFi network then click Move Up to the very top spot
5. Click on the 2.4ghz and move that to number 2 spot
**This is because the number#1 spot is always set as the default. It's been over a week now and the 5ghz remains connected and the 2.4ghz is also available, both have not disappeared. In the past the 5ghz disappears within 30min of rebooting.
