Something to contact NG support and let them know what your seeing.
The 6 series modems are somewhat getting to be older. You may want to check a newer model 7 series modem.

I have just spend nearly two hours with Netgear techsupport. They refuse to recognize any problem with their design. I will now try to return the modem for a refund.
I do NOT recommend this modem for serious use.

I think it would be really useful to know why the system crashed. Usually the crash exception is saved within the CPU - across the reset sequence. You must immediately save away this information before returning to normal operation. Once you enter normal operation, create and entry in your admin log or event log from the saved exception crash. This will tell you if the exception was due to a PowerOnReset, BusError or more... Currently we don't have that information...

Looks like the C6300V2 contains the Intel Puma chipset, and who knows if the software work-around is related to this problem...
