c6300 can only connect wifi or extender

I have a C6300 router which has been working perfectly. added a netgear extender. now I can only connect to one or the other. connect the extende to wi fi and it drops my routrer on my computer. when I go to wifi I cannot connect them both. I have windows 10

    what extender did you install?

    How did you setup the extender? Using wps?

    That's a modem/router. If you can't fix it following advice from plemans you could also try the right section for your hardware.

    I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
