C6300 firmware updated needed
I use a Netgear C6300 and my firmware is V1.02.21 but the current version is V3.01.12. I spoke to Netgear and they said they send the updates to XFinity who is then responsible for sending them to us...

Find someone at the ISP who's better educated? Netgear creates the
firmware for its products, but only the ISP can distribute it.

The short answer is that, for a DOCSIS device, _you_ can't.
(Exception: Some recent models have separate firmware for the DOCSIS
modem section (restricted) and the router section (unrestricted). The
C6300 is not one of those models.)
