c6300 media server detection

I have had a CG3100 d for a couple of years.  When I turn my PS3 on, instantly any of my media servers (serviio, ps3 media server) show up .  Purchsed a c6300 this week and the servers do not show up...

Is there any required port forwarding that needs to be done for your media servers to be seen and accessed?

not that I am aware of.  

A) it is an intenal server only
B) the old modem is Netgear and there were no issues there.

    Also I did a bit of netsearch on this and could not find any specific details on this.  If the old one works perfectly, why should the new one not?
