c6300 router channels
it's been great ever since we had it and then boom suddenly our wifi crawls to 6mp from at least 130. Comcast kept saying I need a new router and that because it's a Netgear model they couldnt help. Finally got someone with some sense who explained that maybe someone else in the hood is using the same channel which accounts for it carawling along.
he suggested we change the channel or set it on auto. I have no idea how to do either..
help please..

You will want to log into your modem by going to www.routerlogin.net from here you should get a login box put in admin/password. Then Click wireless on the left side Then you should see 2 places that say channel you will want to adjust this then click apply then test your internet until you find a good channel to use.
