C6300 Router not working
We have a C6300 cable/wireless router that has been connected, but not used for 1 1/2 years. Today it cannot be recognized on the network.
Hand helds cannot see it, and if we plug into it the comp...

You cannot update the firmware on cable modems. The ISPs don't like it. If you are lucky the ISP will roll out updates. Many don't bother.
If your firmware is outdated, you cannot manually upgrade your cable modem’s or modem router’s firmware. You must contact your Internet service provider (ISP) to upgrade your firmware.
