c6300 slow 2.4 connection on laptop only.

My c6300 is connected to 2.4 laptop and my download speeds are unbearable. When I do a speed test on my phone connected to 2.4 as well the speeds are exactly where they are supposed to be. Any ideas how to fix this?

    Have you tried to update the wireless drivers on the laptop?

      All drivers were updated. I ended up using advanced system car's internet boost feature which fixed the problem. I much rather know how to fix it myself though for future refer.ce..
