Wi-Fi works fine but like to directly hook up to my Netflix. Will find Wi-Fi on my smart tv but fails to hardwire using my ethernet

So the smart Tv can not connect to the internet via Ethernet?

Have you tried to go into the network settings of the Smart Tv and try to manually enter the Ip info with the ethernet plugged into the tv something like 192.168.0.25 for the ip and the default gateway as 192.168.0.1
