Possible, though you may want to try a EX3700 or a EX7000 model extender.
I'd stick with the tribands.
Much better performance.
The standard dual band (not in fastlane) take a roughly 50% speed hit because they have to receive and then retransmit and can't do both at once.
And a triband extender should work with that router. I've used my EX8000 on a C7000, C7800, and CAX80
