c6300
I have a Netgear c6300 modem/router combo. WHile I have the wifi turned off at the router itself (no green lights are on where they would normally be if there was wifi) I am still getting a 3.5mbps...

1. Is this normal? Probably. Depends on what your speeds your expecting and pay for. Also depends on wireless device design and support. This modem modem isn't super fast for wireless.
2. If so how can I rememdy this? (Kind of a security issue to have a wifi signal broadcast when you don't think there is one.
What are your wired speed results with a wired PC or laptop connected to the modem?
3. If it is not normal, what next? Expert? Trash it and go by a new one?
Are you using a different wifi router after this modem? Do you have this modem in modem only mode or router mode?
