Factory reset clears all previously configured user settings like WIFI SSID names and passwords. So you'll have to set up the modem again from scratch and re-configure the SSID and passwords for custom configurations.

- MotleyCrew22Jun 26, 2024TutorThe router did not return to factory settings. It’s broadcasting different SSIDs than what they should be. I cannot access the wifi setup via browser or Nighthawk app.

So pressing the reset button for 15 seconds doesn't clear out and return the modem to original factory defaults? Even with the ISP cable coax line disconnected from the modem?
Last resort you can try a 30-30-30 reset with out anything connected to the modem. I'd disconnect the ISP cable coax line from the modem as well.
- MotleyCrew22Jun 26, 2024TutorYes, I’ve tried multiple resets with and without coax, 30-30-30, no luck. SSID is coming back as NETGEAR instead of NETGEAR43. Reset passwords do not work for access, cannot join networks.
