The router did not return to factory settings. It’s broadcasting different SSIDs than what they should be. I cannot access the wifi setup via browser or Nighthawk app.

So pressing the reset button for 15 seconds doesn't clear out and return the modem to original factory defaults? Even with the ISP cable coax line disconnected from the modem?
Last resort you can try a 30-30-30 reset with out anything connected to the modem. I'd disconnect the ISP cable coax line from the modem as well.
- MotleyCrew22Jun 26, 2024TutorYes, I’ve tried multiple resets with and without coax, 30-30-30, no luck. SSID is coming back as NETGEAR instead of NETGEAR43. Reset passwords do not work for access, cannot join networks.

Did you try connecting a ethernet PC or laptop to the back of the modem to see if you could get logged into 192.168.1.1 after the 30-30-30 reset?

I've seen the wifi on/off button get hit during resets. And "netgear" is a pretty generic name. It could be a neighbors. I'd try checking to see if the wifi is broadcasting (is the led on) and hardwire a pc/laptop into the router for setup. Tends to be faster and work better than over wifi IMO.
