C7000 router won’t work with slingbox 500

Don't you think that the problem should be "slingbox 500 won’t work with C7000 router"?

Yes you are right, I should have phrased it that way. Thanks for you help. My WiFi network is connected to the slingbox but when I look for the channels says “can’t find server”. From my iPad I can change the channel on my sling box so I know it’s connected but no channels are displayed. I know it is hooked up right because on the tv I have the box connected to all the displays work when I use the sling remote. My thoughts are it has something to do with IP address which is what I see as the culprit in others with connection issues. If you have any thoughts or suggestions would love to hear them. Thanks
Try the device wire connected to the modem?
Contact the mfr of the device for there help and information on getting there device connected correctly.
