C7000 V2 will not find HP 4630 Printer
Router will not find the HP 4630 printer connected through the USB port. My second computer on-line found the printer but states off-line. Anyone know what Printers are supported or work arouds?

Shouldn't matter. Network-connected should be network-connected,
unless defective Netgear router firmware erroneously isolates wired
devices from wireless devices.

Why?

I suspect that they can also find one without it having a fixed IP
address. See below.

A network-connected printer does not use ReadySHARE. A printer which
is USB-connected to the router can use ReadySHARE. Which is best
avoided, if your printer can be network-connected.

It wouldn't, but you don't need to do anything like that.

I claim that you don't need to deal with that. It'd be harmless, but
unnecessary.

I doubt it.

Give or take the misinformation.

antinode I get that I probably don't know as much about this as you do. Happy to see you correct me.
Sunnyside5 In my experience, whenever a printer changes IP addresses and its connected using Windows, you have to reassociate the printer driver with the new IP address or it doesn't work, it'll show as offline. The printer getting a new IP address could be from a random reboot, power fluctuation, or just you rebooting the router.
The printer is easy to reassociate/reinstall but then you're doing it every time the IP address changes. Its a PITA. Or you can just set a address reservation. From the sound of it, you were able to accomplish this. glad to see you had success in getting it working. Sorry you had to read the prior snark.
