C7000v2 - Will Adding a Router Improve Speed?

Hi, I'm having the common issue of buying 800mbps wifi from Xfinity but i can only achieve up to 250mbps Wifi speeds with my C7000v2 router/modem combo. I'm wondering if I add a more powerful router to the C7000v2 will I achieve speeds closer to 800mbps?

You might get closer to those speeds wired.&nbsp;
the wireless is more about what device you're using.&nbsp;
The C7000 is a pretty solid router but you can only expect 250-350mbps out of it.&nbsp;
the c7000 also has the option of modem only mode so you could put it in that and just upgrade the router.&nbsp;
Again, it depends on what device you're testing with/using but you can upgrade pretty easily
