C7000v2 ac1900 orange upload, no internet
Model c7000v2, ac1900 wifi cable modem router. My upload light is orange, download is green. Internet suddenly stopped working about a week ago - have been using this router for 2 years with no iss...
your upstream only has 1 locked channel. and its running high. Meaning its taking almost maximum power to communicate back to the ISP.
Sure there's no signal attenuators in the line?
Or splitters?
are you testing over 2.4ghz or 5ghz?
2.4ghz is slow.
and from the sound of it you're getting the full speeds if you're hitting 600+wired

Oh shoot I was not using 5gig, it seems fine now. Orange light is still on for upload.
Just the one coax cable. Attached an image.
but that coax might have came in the home from elsewhere (like a basement) and be running through a 8x home splitter to feed the whole home. That's why I'd check from where the cable is entering the home to where you're connecting it. With the power its taking for that 1 channel to lock, something it attenuating your signal.
OH I understand now, I didn't think of that. I live in a condo - I'll look around the place this evening to see if I can find where the wire might be entering the place.
- It looks like it's split a bunch between homes here. Should I tell comcast co come over and use more channels to be locked due to the power usage under upload? Also what's a good number to be under for power?

- Thank you, I got comcast to come up here and they fixed it. Definitely had some problems, which was bs that on the phone they said it was fine.
