Your router is not compatible with Mesh technology. Either get a new Mesh system like Orbi or MK, or get extenders/access points and use them with your existing router.

Only NG products that can help extend wifi signals from the C series modem are the EX series extenders which the 7700 and 8000 can be used in AP Mode with a ethernet connection to the C series modem.

You can configured the C series modem for modem only mode, so you can continue to use its modem for internet services, then yes, connect up a MESH router system.
Thanks Furry for the reply. can you recommend a mesh system that is compatible with my C7000v2 router? I have run an ethernet cables to the locations where I want to put the satellites from the C7000v2. Also if you have a link to the setup that would be great. Is the MK62 or 63 the best option for my router? I found this video:
