c7000v2 cable modem and ac1900 smart wifi router

I have a cable modem c7000v2 and i am trying to hook up an ac1900 smart wifi router so i can have the wifi in another part of my house.  I have the nighthawk app but it says my ac1900 is not supported and i cant get these to connect.

Any and all help will be appreciated.
