C7000v2 cable modem/router admin login problems

I downloaded the Nighthawk app and tried to login (repeatedly).  App tells me default is password... tried more times than i can count (i can count pretty high). Tried factory data reset several times to no avail.. My upload speed is deteriorating and trying to use the web login (routerlogin.com or .net) only times out even after repeated clearing of browser cache.  Im at my wits end. please help

    Factory reset the modem and setup using a wired PC and web browser. Be sure to write down all important information seen in the setup wizard.
