C7000v2 Default settings for Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection

Question

New C7000v2 modem on my Spectrum system. Had no problems in getting it properly activated. But in just looking through some of the settings, this one caught my eye as it seems to be the opposite of what one would want.

"Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection" under WAN Setup is checked by default.

Anyone got any ideas about this. Why would I want to stop DoS protection?

Un-check it then if you feel you want it enabled. Nothing is saying that you can't enable it.&nbsp;
